ordi Cipriano started his research career in 1997 at CIMNE, completing his final project in Industrial Engineering on structural analysis applied to hyper-elastic structures. He also pursued Master's studies in Numerical Methods for Design and Simulation in Engineering, jointly organized by CIMNE and the ETSECCPB of the UPC. In 1999, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the UPC ETSEIAT. In 2000, Jordi Cipriano received the International Prize for Creativity from the College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia for a solar energy project in rural communities in Brazil. In 2001, he founded CIMNE's first Autonomous Research Group, the BEE Group, which he has been directing since then. Over the past 20 years, Jordi Cipriano has focused on energy modelling of buildings using artificial intelligence techniques, implementing pilot projects for demand response and energy flexibility, developing big data architectures for data analysis, and modelling active photovoltaic generation systems. He has participated in over 50 EU-funded projects, acting as the Principal Researcher (IP) for 24 competitive projects and coordinating 8 European Funded Research and Innovation projects. Jordi has published 32 articles in international scientific journals and presented at 30 international congresses. He is a founder and board member of the energy services company INERGY S.L. and a founding partner of Beedata Analytics S.L. Jordi represents CIMNE in various international research networks, including X4RES, CEEC, Gaia-X Spain, PTEC, and IEA Annex 83.
